Luton Central Library

This is a stub.

It looks like someone was inspired by the Royal Festival Hall in London when they designed the building, which is not a bad thing.

Whilst it may not be a ‘palace for the people’, it does have its own theatre space, as well as everything else you would expect from a main library.

Vinyl Revelations – one of the UK’s last record shops

Located in Cardigan Street in Luton town centre and run by the genial Andy Chesham, you can dig in the crates for 33s and 45s to your heart’s content, or just have a cup of tea and a Hornbyesque conversation. There is an online shop too, with a different selection of stock.

To cap it all, Andy also promotes gigs locally and further afield.
